Creed is a new testament. Built on the foundation of everything that came before, it elevates the original Rocky theology to another level. It’s the son rising to meet the myth of the father, reclaiming times lost by stepping into place among champions. Creed is fueled by the same spirit as The Lion King - the same spirit embodied by Horus, Telemachus (son of Odysseus), and Luke Skywalker: the spirit that inspires the forging of identity through legacy.
I see a timeless narrative in Creed, and it’s one that I love. It’s dear to me like no other, and every time I see it in this film it moves me to my core.

Creed is one of my happy places. It inspires me. I'm not a fighter. I'm not anything that even comes close to an athlete of any kind. Yet, Creed makes me want to be better at anything I'm trying. Not because of the sport depicted, but the AMAZING display of writing, acting and overall filmmaking. Creed is absolutely perfect.
I'll say it again, and I really mean it - I'll fight anyone who challenges me on this: Creed is the best film ever made.
